Release Notes
Desktop
Merged product areas
This is our first version where all product areas are available in one application. There is a common installer and a desktop part. Here each product area has its own tab, so you can quickly switch between the areas.
Library management
The library has also been given its own section. Here you get an overview of all objects, carriers and reach distance avatars and can rename & delete them.
Assembly
Rename and sort imports
In the new desktop view, you can now rename your imported files in the Assembly area and sort them by date and name.
Location of imported CAD data
Starting from this Halocline version, imported CAD data are no longer displayed separately for each Windows user. All imported CAD data is visible in Halocline regardless of the Windows user logged in.
CAD data imported before this Halocline version will be migrated automatically with this version and will then be visible for all Windows users.
VR menu and object interaction
You can now have the menu open and interact with all objects in the environment at the same time.
Check collisions (beta) & show body contacts
We have removed the beta feature "check collisions" from the software as of this release. We thank you for your feedback on this feature and now need to re-evaluate for ourselves when and how to proceed with further development.
To continue to be able to check human body accessibility, you can now visualize whether virtual hands are in contact with geometry in the assemble tool. Under Settings you can turn the visualization on and off. In the beta version, the body contact display also works for the arms.
Layout
More detailed shopfloor preview
In the Layout tab, you can now see a larger top view of the shopfloor even before you start in VR. This gives you a better overview of your shopfloor and the selected variants. In addition, you can switch more quickly to the mode for changing boundaries and positions of the variants.
Placement precision
As for the box create tool, you can now place your objects more precisely for all other placement tools by holding down the trigger.
Notepad videos
You will find another tab in the notepad where you can play videos that support you in your planning. Place the desired files as usual under Documents/Halocline/Notes.
Performance
Assign variants to recordings
You can now assign your recordings to the variant in which they were created. This way you can keep track of many recordings and be more sure that the setup of the station matches the actions of the avatar.
Manage recordings
In the new desktop view, you see the recordings for their variants and can start directly in VR. You can also rename and delete recordings.
Note that your recordings are no longer stored in the file system. To exchange recordings, you can export and import them like any other data.
Ergonomics key indicator method
A new analysis of your recordings gives you a direct overview of which areas of your station are ergonomically problematic. Based on the key indicator method, this analysis uses the parameters weight, distance, lift distance and duration to evaluate the location of the objects.
The analysis is based on a recording, but explicitly does not evaluate the body postures of the avatar, but the positions and transport paths of the moving objects. The traffic light scheme illustrates problems at the station.
Extended tabular report (beta)
The tabular report of a recording now contains an additional worksheet with all already known process and ergonomics information plus the position and rotation of the hands and the moving objects.
This significantly improves the further use of the process and ergonomics data in other applications, such as the ema Work Designer from imk.
