Function
The replay function of Halocline Performance allows you to play back your saved recordings and analyze them with the help of visualizations.
Instructions
Play recording
Menu > Analysis > Replay
The recording is played back via the replay window and is represented by an avatar in 3D space. After finishing a new process recording, the playback window is opened automatically. You will find the playback window additionally in the menu.
The playback works like any classic video player (see picture above):
(1) With Play / Pause you can play and pause the playback.
(2) With a click on the time marker you can drag the playback to a specific time.
(3) The time is displayed directly on the time marker, as well as on the timeline itself.
(4) The triangular boundary markers limit the recording and can also be moved with a pressed click. By moving the boundary markers you can change the start and end point of the recording as well as the view visualizations.
(5) The continuous loop function plays the area delimited by the boundary markers over and over again from the beginning.
(6) The "faster" and "slower" buttons increase or slow down the playback speed.
This way you can get a rough overview on the one hand and watch movements in detail on the other hand.
(7) Crop recording
With the trim function at the bottom of the replay window you can trim the current recording to a desired length. The replay boundary points are decisive for this. The trimmed recording becomes your new selected recording.
(8) Export recordings
To analyze a recording in more detail and to share this analysis, you can export the recording as a tabular report by clicking on the export button at the bottom of the replay window.
(9) Save recording
New recordings are always first displayed as "unsaved recording". To save this recording, click "Save" at the bottom of the playback window. Using the keyboard that appears, you can specify the name of the recording. Use the keyboard like a drum kit and simply hit the desired keys with the controller. The selected name will now be displayed in the playback window for this recording.
If you forget to save a recording, it will remain as an "unsaved recording" until you start a new recording or trim the current unsaved recording. A save request will then give you the opportunity to save the recording under a different name.
(10) Show visualizations
Clicking on the Visualizations tab at the right edge of the playback window opens an overview of all possible visualizations. Currently you can choose between the visualizations Spaghetti, Space and Posture.
(11) Selecting another recording
Clicking on the menu item "Lists" at the left edge of the replay window opens a list of all previously saved recordings. Here you can select any recording by clicking on it in order to play it, trim it or export it. The list contains the names of the recordings, the calibration scenarios and the duration of the individual recordings. All recordings can be played back at any time. However, moving the objects used in the recording is limited to the active workspaces in which the recording was originally made.
Rename recording
By clicking on the pencil icon you can change the name of the respective recording. [Link keyboard]
Delete recordings
You can also delete recordings by clicking on the "trash can" icon next to the recording you want to delete. If you accidentally delete a recording, you can also restore it by clicking on the grayed out recording and selecting the restore icon to the right of the recording.
Note:
Deleted recordings can be recovered within your Halocline application time. After you exit Halocline, you will no longer be able to recover the deleted recording.
The Replay Tool
In addition to the replay window, you can also control the recording using the controller. This allows you to navigate more quickly without having to switch your gaze between the avatar and the playback window. The replay tool is automatically placed on one of your controllers when you open the replay window. Here you can perform the following actions:
- Play / Stopp - Click with the trigger
- Fast forward / rewind - Touchpad right and left
The replay tool does not work if you point to the playback window with the same controller, because then the tool is replaced by an interaction pointer.
Desktop replay
In addition to replaying in VR, you can also control the recording from the desktop. You can find all further information here.
