Assemble parts and assemblies (BETA)

Function

The assembly tool allows you to test and check your product assembly by simply plugging parts together. It helps you test assembly sequences from pre-assembly to final assembly.

Note:
This feature is still in beta status. The function may be incomplete and of lower quality than the rest of the application.For beta users, this feature is activated.

Instructions

Menu > tools > assemble

  1. Dip the sphere on your hand into the object until it turns blue.

  2. Hold the trigger to move the object.

  3. Press the touchpad/joystick to the left to change the grab mode.

Grab mode

You can switch between two modes:

  • Loose parts grab: All parts can be grabbed individually.

  • Connected components grab: All connected parts can be grabbed.

Snap function

A part can have several snap positions. The possible positions are indicated by small yellow dots. If the part is close enough to the snapping position, a transparent preview of the part in its snapped position is displayed.

Note:
You can assemble with both hands. It is possible to hold a part in one hand and mount another part on the held part with the other hand.
