Function
Halocline Layout offers different possibilities to export data, e.g. to share it with colleagues. These exports are then done separately for each selected element.
Starting with Release 2021.2 you have the possibility to create backup copies of your entire data set in Halocline Layout & Performance. This way you avoid extensive data loss in case a problem should occur. A backup copy is also useful if you want to copy your data completely from one computer to another.
Instruction
Contents of the backup
The saved data set contains:
- Shopfloor with work areas and variants,
- Including their contents, such as created work areas,
- Including work history of previous versions and changes,
- Library elements,
- Created KLTs and reach distance,
- Notes,
- Motion recordings from Performance,
- Exports and reports,
- Settings.
Note:
Before you create or restore your backup copy, make sure that the same version of Halocline is on the computer that you used when you created the backup copy. The same applies if you want to share your backup copy with another person.
Create backup
Start Screen > Settings > Create Backup
Open Halocline Layout & Performance and click on Settings in the start screen. Next to the Backup item, select the Create action. In the window that opens, select a location and click OK. The process may take a few minutes depending on the amount and size of the data.
Restore backup
Start screen > Settings > Restore Backup
Note:
Before restoring your backup copy, make sure that no newer data is lost in the process. Restoring a previously saved backup copy completely and irrevocably overwrites the current data state.
In the Settings window, under Backup, click Restore. In the Restore window, select the backup copy you want to restore. To continue, type the word "RESTORE" in the line below and click OK. This will prevent the data from being overwritten unknowingly.
