Function
Different views can be selected on the desktop to better follow the user in VR, to get a better overview of the planning, or to make video recordings easier. In the desktop bar at the top, you can switch between different camera perspectives and record your screen.

Camera views
You can choose between the following camera views in Halocline Assembly:

VR view

Spectator mode

Free camera
Notice:
As of release 2022.4, the proximity sensor in HTC VIVE is active. If you get a white screen on the desktop with the prompt "Please put on the VR headset", we ask you to put on the headset. After that, the image or halocline will appear in VR view and viewer mode on your desktop screen.
The top view and orbit camera views are currently only available in Halocline Layout & Performance.

Recording and screenshot tools
With the screenshot function you can easily create assembly problems, errors or ideas in VR and capture them as an image on the desktop. The image is always created with the camera set on the desktop.
Create screenshot on the desktop
With a click on the screenshot button (camera icon) at the top desktop bar, you can create a screenshot via the desktop.
Create screenshot in VR
Menu > Side panel > Screenshot

Click on the "Screenshot" button with the camera symbol in the menu.

Close the menu with the menu button and wait for the countdown.

The image will be saved as a PNG file on your computer under ../Documents/Halocline/Screenshots.
Note:
In VR you trigger the screenshot function in the quick access bar with the camera button.
Using Windows Screen Recording
If you want to record a video, use Windows Screen Recording.

Open Xbox Gamebar: Windows key + ALT + G

Start recording: Windows key + ALT + R
All recordings will be saved under the following path: Users...\Videos
