Function
This article provides an overview of the common standards and norms considered in Halocline Performance.
Instructions
Ergonomics
The ergonomics assessment of recordings is currently done with the help of certain critical heights. Here, raising the arm above shoulder height and lowering the arm below knee height applies. If a critical value is reached you can see on the avatar by the red-colored body part. You can also see these times on the time bar in the VR replay window.
Reach and walking distances
The reach and walking distances (except for teleport) are measured 1:1 as the user performs the movement in VR.
Walking distances through teleport
The teleport calculates the shortest, permitted walking path (based on the adjustable clearance width of 80 cm) and calculates the speed at 140 cm per second.
Reach distance
In a reach distance configurator the reach distance is calculated automatically based on a given body height. Alternatively, the values can be set manually.
The automatically calculated body dimensions are based on the anthropometric data of DIN 33402-2.
Using manual input, custom standards can be applied.
The reach distance sphere, i.e. the reach of the avatar, is calculated automatically according to DIN EN ISO 14738:2009-07. A manual entry is also possible.
Ergonomics analysis
The ergonomic analysis is based on the Key Indicator Method. The parameters measured for the evaluation are used to calculate the variables. These variables are used to calculate the assessment. Each step in the process is based on the templates from ©BAuA/ASER/ArbMedErgo/ebu, particularly the "Entwurf zur Praxiserprobung – Version 12.5 – Stand 08.2020" and the "Gefährdungsbeurteilung bei physischer Belastung – die neuen Leitmerkmalmethoden (LMM), 3. Auflage 2019".
