Function
This interface allows you to create your first MTM analysis via MTMmotion®. To do this, you record the desired process part in VR, export it and then upload it to the MTMmotion® web app. The evaluation is displayed there. This allows you to compare different variants during the planning phase on the basis of measurable values and start the MTM evaluation without any additional effort or in-depth expert knowledge.

Interactive objects
An object type and the respective usage type are required for the evaluation. By default, each interactive object is assigned the object type 4 : assembly part and the usage type 12 : place.
You can change these via the context menu. To do this, select the object and then click on the “Analysis” button. Please note that the interaction in Performance must be activated for this. Enter the corresponding ID (number) in the text fields. The weight is also taken into account in the analysis.
You can look up possible types and their usage types in the object catalog.
Tip: We recommend making the settings in desktop mode. This way you can easily search for the IDs in the object catalog. For VR mode, you can place an image with an overview of the ID numbers in the notepad.
Tools
All Halocline tools are also preset according to their type. Tools with the “Start process” usage type has an additional field for the process time. This can be specified precisely and overwrites the time recorded during VR recording.
Recording
When all objects are prepared, switch to Halocline Performance to play through and record your process. Each time you press and hold the trigger, the object is displayed with a blue border and you activate the stored usage type of the object.
The object is released after activation if you merge it with another object. If you do not join it with another object, you must click again after activation to drop it.
Export and analysis
You can then export the finished recording as an MTMmotion® motion file. To do this, click on the “Export” icon in the replay window and then on “MTM”.
The file is saved under %Userprofile%\Documents\Halocline\Export and the folder is opened automatically.
You can then upload this file in the MTMmotion® web app.
MTMmotion® can be used to create analyses for the following process systems from Halocline data:
- MTM-UAS
- MTM-HWD
- MTM-MEK
- MTM-1
You can select the time unit (MTM's own standard “Time Measurement Unit” (TMU) or seconds) and accuracy in which the analysis is to be output.
Please note:
- You will receive an initial analysis, not all details from the recording will be recognized and displayed in the analysis.
- Walking paths are only recognized when you teleport, not when you walk in the real world.
- It is not possible to store different usage types for an object. Split your process into different shots so that you can use a different object in your scene for the next step.
- Different stopping points are currently not recognized.
