Release Notes
Context menu
After collecting feedback on the new context menu in the beta phase and making adjustments to its positioning, it is now available to all users. You will also find a new function for separating parts from load carriers. To do this, select the load carrier and click on “More” in the context menu and then on “Unassign part”.
The “Enter group” function is now also available to all users.
As you can now access many functions here, we have removed the Edit tab from the main menu to keep it simpler.
Adjust via context menu
In the new context menu, you can now also find the adjust function for your selected objects. The button activates the gizmos, but no longer changes your active tool on the controller. This means you can operate the gizmos at any time by pointing at them, even through objects. Because of this you can now switch between modes in the context menu and no longer on your controller.
Creating movable objects
We have made some changes here to simplify working with movable objects.
From now on, you will only build boxes, the part create tool has been removed. The distinction between grouping and joining is also no longer necessary. Once you have finished building your object, you can then decide whether it should be interactive in Performance - this works for individual boxes as well as for grouped elements. You can find this setting in the context menu. You can also set whether the object is freely movable or constrained.
Measuring with precision mode
We have now also implemented the precision mode, which you already know from the box create tool, for the measurement tool. You can create start and end points with one click. If you hold down the trigger while creating, you can set the points with greater precision.
Improved camera control
We have improved the camera control of the free camera. You can rotate the camera using the right mouse button as before, but it is now easier to rotate around a point. If you hold down the mouse wheel, you can move the camera, so you no longer need to use the keyboard at the same time. However, the keyboard still works if you prefer to use it.
New tutorials
With this release, the application works fundamentally differently in some areas than before. That's why there are new tutorials for you and especially for new users to make it easier to get started. The videos, which you can access via the tutorial button in the main menu, are automatically updated. If you already have a tutorial shopfloor, you will have to delete it and download the updated version.
Point clouds
In the beta phase for point clouds as a 3D template, the main request was for more control over the visualization. We have now added more options to the settings window. Here you can independently determine the number and size of the visible points.
The finished function will be available as an add-on in the future. Please contact us if you are interested.
Interaction with movable objects
We have also optimized the interaction in Performance. You can now pick up objects with one click of the trigger. You can put them down again with a second click. If you hold an object in your hand and press and hold the trigger, you activate the join function. This allows you to decide during the individual action whether you want to join or not and you no longer have to set this globally using the thumb function.
