If you want to set up a Meta Quest for work purposes, the Meta for Work Admin Center offers numerous control options and significantly simplifies management by IT department.
Setting up devices and users through the Admin Center
- Unlike the standard method, where each Meta Quest must be set up via a mobile phone, Meta for Work allows setup directly through the Admin Center.
- Individuals whose Meta accounts are managed by an organization must set up their Meta Horizon profile when their device is first linked to their organization.

Managing devices and users
From the Admin Center, you can manage the rights for users and devices in detail. For example, you can disable access to the Meta Quest Store if this should be necessary for your organization.
To use Meta Quest devices under Meta for Work in single-user mode, both a professional Meta account and a Meta Horizon profile are required. Neither is necessary for devices in shared mode. This mode is an additional paid add-on.
All devices, Meta accounts, and Meta Horizon profiles can be managed from the Admin Center. It allows setting up different groups with different rights.

App management
For Quest standalone apps, it is possible to control updates and app installations centrally through the IT system. This means you do not have to update each device individually or install apps manually. However, note that Halocline is currently a desktop VR app and thus cannot be managed through this system.
