Overview
The Tire Pre-Assembly workspace in HaloPlant exemplifies how 2D templates and 3D planning interact in VR.

2D layouts in VR
2D layouts in VR enable the visualization of hall layouts and concepts in an immersive virtual environment. Typically, these are created in the view of the entire plant and the individual production halls. They can be a valuable input for the detailed elaboration of an area or workplace.
Workflow
The 2D layout can be stored as a 2D template in the form of image files (png or jpeg). For the procedure within Halocline, this article helps: Using existing 2D layouts
After storing the 2D layout, it is displayed on the floor within the VR session (see image below left). In the next step there are two possibilities to place objects on the outlines visible on the floor: You can either create new objects with the Create box tool or you open the library and access already saved resources. In addition, you can use the Adjust or Duplicate tool to duplicate what is already there.
The result can be seen in the two right pictures. The 2D layout of HaloPlant is stored below to try it out.
